Brief

Produce a series of eight A5 cards that express eight colour principles and exploit colour to promote GF Smith’s Colorplan range of papers.

Concept and Outcome

Using the structure of golden ratios, bespoke illustrations follow a set of colour principles to explore and celebrate the potential of using coloured paper. Each illustration was then developed into a 3D piece, photographed and reprinted, exaggerating the possibilities of different coloured papers and lending the imagery with a sense of the tactile. Depth and structure is given to these illustrations which retain practicality from the point of view of print and distribution. Folded to A5 in a concertina, the initial image shows a close up thumbnail of the design, the second a simplified view, and then opens out to the full design in the third image.
